Went to a great party on Saturday night - it was Mike's birthday, and Selena arranged a lovely (semi) surprise evening for him. Very good company with all the usual suspects, interesting conversation, particularly with Robin, my Mbira/kora buddy, during which we discovered much common ground even though he was brought up in South Africa. Lots of dancing and drumming, beautiful food and a good time was had by all. I wasn't drinking (see: health kick) so no worries driving home.
Spent the rest of the weekend walking the dog and stripping paint off a chest of drawers for the forthcoming bedroom redecoration. Ah, domestic bliss.
