So when I get back to Tunbridge Wells yesterday evening, Dad's found the pocket watch and it's beautiful, all gunmetal and white enamel. It works as well, ticking away by my side as I speak. Here are some photos. It has, I think, the famous Calibre 19 movement after which the Omega Company was named (the movement was nicknamed the Omega, because it was the last word in technical advancement at the time. In fact, it won the accuracy trial at Greenwich Observatory in 1930). The serial number on the movement refers to the year of manufacture, 1918.
Looking forward to having a look at the other one.
