Went for a wonderful but windy and tearful walk of the downs at the weekend - to spread the bulk of Otis' ashes on the top of the hill we used to walk on, above the Long Man of Wilmington. It was blowing a gale up there, but then that was perfect for a long ash trajectory. Now we can wave to him when we drive past on the A27, or can say hi when we go out for a walk there with a new dog, if we get one - we know he'll be all around us, and we'll be thinking of him when we are there.
We kept a little to spread at Waller's Haven which was his other favourite place - he used to swim here all the time.
He was a great dog. We miss him.
