Farewell to the old new regime.

Last Friday was my last day working in Battle. It was very sad really, and all day I was saying "this is the last cup of tea I'm going to drink here" and "this is the last time I'm going to do the post here" etc etc - you get the picture.

Surprisingly, everyone else was in sombre mood as well, rather than jumping for joy. We had arranged to go out for a chinese at Cosmo Royale on the seafront in Hastings after work. This too was sad, but damn good fun as well - had a right good party, with presents (a funky combi-van with surf-board on the roof piggy-bank from Don & Hilary, a new teapot, mug and some noodles from Iona, and a lovely shiny pewter hip-flask (how perceptive) from everyone. Got a little drunk, with the biggest bottle of red wine I'd ever seen, a bottle of champagne on the house and Iona getting 3 tequila shots each in for her, me and Justin. Bit of a sore head the next day, but no matter - it was worth it.
