A Party & a Farewell.

On Saturday, we went out to the Swan in Dallington for a meal with friends Ken and Claudia, who were heading off to live in their beautiful new house on the River Tweed 20 miles outside Edinburgh the following morning. Very nice seabass and good food by the looks of things in general. Add to this the consumption of a finely kept pint of Harveys and a lovely evening was had by all. They have 2 nervous cats, so I'm wondering how the drive went.

Then on Sunday, we went to a great BBQ at Clive & Kate's home on the outskirts of St Leonards. Had a really good time with Selina & Mike, Paul & Lorna and Marie-Louise and Maurizio amongst others. The food was excellent, had a quick badminton knock-about and much chat in the sun. Really weird - there was a sea-mist blowing in, which you couldn't see, but you could feel the cold, and even though it was sunny & warm, you could see your breath almost like it was frosty. Very strange.
