What a weekend.

We got back from our beautiful weekend on Tuesday evening - and what a weekend it was. The weather was almost perfect (although the mornings were cold and misty, that soon cleared up and the sun broke through), we had a great pitch in the most picturesque camping site with views through the trees to the river, and there was a bottle of Jose Cuervo Tradicional tequila in the cupboard.

Journey there and back was fine, the only blot on the landscape being the water system in the van, which due to the ineptitude of the garage now doesn't work. The kitchen tap was always a bit dicey, so took it in to be mended - after a week in the garage, I got it back only to be told that the only way the kitchen tap would work is if the bathroom tap is switched on. Not entirely satisfactory but hey ho, what can you do. Unfortunately, the bathroom tap now empties itself all over the floor, so that can't be used, so the kitchen tap can't be used either - so no water!! Great.

Anyway, no matter, because we were in a very good mood - waterfront walks, a lovely sunday lunch at the pub in Hemmingford Grey and the best little campsite kept us happy.
