Globe gig

So, we played Shakespeare's Globe on the river in London on Thursday night -

- well actually it was the Underglobe which is this huge room under the Globe

- as with everything we seem to get involved in, things were a little fraught for a while, and not quite how we had expected it to pan out, but it was ok in the end - there were six drummers (me, Ed, Trish, Cat, Marybeth, Deborah) and White Horse (Dave, Emma, Alicia)

and we were meant to be around the huge oak tree that's down there - actually it's a cast of a huge oak tree but you get the picture - well, there wasn't really enough room. Ed, Trish & I all played upstairs at the entrance to welcome people (Princess Beatrice, Sean Bean, Clive Anderson etc etc), and it was all good fun - after about half an hour of this, and getting moved inside because we were making too much noise for the performance in the Globe itself, and once Beatrice had arrived, the three of us belted downstairs and played a couple of numbers with the rest of the band - not enough really but went pretty well and we enjoyed ourselves.

Then had a quick meal and legged it taking the gear with us.
