We were walking down on Camber Sands near Rye on Saturday when Otis got beaten up. He was about 100 yds away when he was approached by a large yellow lab. They seemed to be getting on ok, so we weren't too bothered, but another one ran up to him and started sniffing. I think Otis got a bit freaked out by the two of them together and maybe gave off the wrong signals, but next thing we know he's getting bitten all over the place and had to swim to safety, poor little chap. We were too far away to do anything other than shout and scream and so was the owner of the two yellow labs.
Otis was sheepish and upset all weekend and has a hole in his left ear - otherwise unscathed. If we ever see the dogs again, they'd better watch out, as had the owner!!
