A Spitfire weekend

Had my 50th birthday present on Saturday - a fantastic 4 hour helicopter and spitfire spectacular with lunch in the middle. Such good fun, and amazing views of the most iconic warplane flying alongside our helicopter will live with me forever.

Spent the rest of the weekend with J, Pete and Lucy in Canterbury, popped in on the Cathedral to see the new Gormley piece made out of nails from the roof of the building removed during renovation works, and finally a pleasant walk on the freezing windswept downs by Eastbourne sketching the hills - lovely.

A very happy weekend indeed.
