Wonderful Womad

We had such a great time at Womad this year. Saw some really great music, had a perfect camping spot where we were woken by blackbirds singing in the trees, ate and drank generously and all in all enjoyed ourselves very much.

Musicwise, high points were Gill Scot Heron, Rango, the Drummers of Burundi (of course), surprisingly Afro Celt Soundsystem (I say surprisingly because I have never really liked them before), the Bays & the Heritage Orchestra and above all, Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara who have jumped up a few leagues since we last saw them two years ago.

Bumped into loads of friends, drank loads of tea at the Tiny Tea Tent, danced, drummed and slept really well. A great weekend altogether.
