Have had my nephew Ethan over for three weeks or so.
Did some very enjoyable things - lots of walking, eating meals in our regular spots including Pevensey Castle Tearooms,
the Winchelsea Deli and Frankie and Benny's in Sovereign Harbour
before going to the cinema to see the Twilight Saga - Eclipse, which was rather dull and none of us enjoyed.
Ethan demonstrated a healthy appetite, a particular liking for steak and also for Coca Cola - hmmmm. He and Otis got on like a house on fire and we had a jolly good time all round.
Ethan had come over with some of his Dad, my brother Nick's ashes, and we had a little ceremony at the crematorium with Mum and Dad's friend and Vicar, Robert say a few words. Nick's ashes are buried in plot 777, which seemed appropriate, since our old phone number was 0892 27774 and Mum and Dad's first car, a green Mini, had the numberplate VPN 777.
