Plucking Heartstrings

Still feeling a bit crappy after the hideous flu we had at new year, but no matter - this too will pass.

Have decided J & I should try to learn guitar, as I wasn't getting anywhere with the recorder - I'm definitely a strings kind of person rather than woodwind. Have booked some lessons to give us a start, and have been learning chords from the internet. J happily quite excited about this I think, so it'll be good to learn together. Got a little bit bored with drums - want to play music rather than just rhythm. So I bought this on the internet just before xmas. A Yamaha LS16, with spruce top and solid mahogany sides and back - lovely tone.

I still had this, which is my brother Nick's first guitar, an old nylon stringed Kimbara, pretty cheap and unassuming, but 'cos it's old, it makes a nice sound.

On a different subject, just watched Cloverfield again - very amusing.
