Our friends Mark & Cristiana have a big house near Tonbridge with a huge garden - every year, at the beginning of November, we burn all the wood, old fence, clippings etc etc that he's piled up over the year (yes, year!!!) in a huge bonfire.
Cristiana's brother, sister in law and kids are over here from Italy at the moment, so we brought the fire forward to last weekend - the biggest yet, it took two of us at least three hours to burn everything, but how satisfying.
Finished the day tired, with beer and a bbq - perfect.
