On a Lighter Note - A Gig and A Scottish Wedding

Played a fab gig last Saturday, at a little festival in Cowbeech, near Hailsham - A Festival of Friends. A tiny, weeny affair, but as the name suggests, very friendly - and we went down a storm, with a couple of hundred or so people dancing away in a large tent in the middle of a field in East Sussex.

We followed a blues covers band who played for ever, literally - well, 2 hours anyway - and were followed by a band playing Pretenders and Blondie covers. A good evening all in all. Made some friends and a little money, and through an hour-long workshop in the afternoon, spread the word of African Drumming in general, and Drumfire in particular.

Heading off to Scotland via the Lake District in the camper van with J and the dog for 10 days at 4am on Saturday, to go to Malcolm and Katie's wedding in Forres on the North East Coast. Looking forward to stopping off in the Lake District on the way up and in Cambridge at our usual lovely site on the way down. Photos to follow no doubt.
